Drake has just announced that he’s received his high school diploma, at the age of 25.

The R&B star – real name Aubrey Drake Graham – shared the news with his Twitter followers by posting a message that said “97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school!” Pretty impressive percentages, there, Drizzy! Can’t help wondering what score his love rival Chris Brown landed in his high school diploma…

Drake took time to thank his teacher, too, saying “Thank you to my teacher Kim Janzen for spending the last 5 months working tirelessly with me!! OVO SOUND.” Given that Drake has over 9 million followers on Twitter, we reckon that Kim Janzen is going to be kept in gainful employment for quite some time after that powerful endorsement has been beamed around the internet.

Drake left high school at the age of 15. His mother was unwell and his family were broke. A friend at school had a father who was an agent for acting talent and landed him a role on the Canadian TV show Degrassi: the Next Generation, in which he played a basketball star who was disabled after a team mate shot him. Of course, a lack of high school diploma hasn’t exactly held Drake back now, as he’s working on his third album, following the success of 'Thank Me Later' and 'Take Care' but he’s just set a pretty decent example to anyone who thinks it might be too late to get themselves an education.
