R&B singer RAPHAEL BROWN has hit back at a former girlfriend's allegations of harassment, insisting he's the real victim and has been hounded by his ex.
The star, previously a member of Too Close hitmakers Next, had a restraining order taken out against him by Nikki Giavasis earlier this month (11May09) amid claims he continued to pursue her after she ended their brief romance and even broke into her California home.
Brown was recently arrested by police as he attempted to gain entrance to the gated community Giavasis lives in and was held on an outstanding warrant.
However, he has now responded to the restraining order - claiming Giavasis has been manipulating and harassing him, reports TMZ.com.
In legal papers filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday (27May09), Brown accuses Giavasis of trying to buy his love, splurging on holidays, investing in his music ventures and buying marijuana to manipulate him.
The handwritten documents state, "She was aware that I would lose focus when I was under the influence of marijuana."
