Camel Keyboard Player Guy Leblanc Has Died, Aged 54.
The musician lost his battle with cancer on Monday (27Apr15).
Confirming the sad news in a statement, his bandmates write: "It is with a hugely heavy heart that we announce the gentle passing of our friend and keyboard player, Guy LeBlanc. We are unable to adequately express the sorrow we are experiencing at this time. Our hearts are with his family, Shirley, Natasha and Kayleigh LeBlanc."
LeBlanc underwent radiation treatment after his diagnosis last year (14), and was forced to sit out the band's most recent tour. He was replaced by Dutch musician Ton Scherpenzeel.
In one of his final statements, LeBlanc told fans he was hoping to rejoin Camel for the band's spring (15) tour.
He becomes the second Camel star to die in 2015 - the group's former frontman Chris Rainbow, real name Christopher Harley, passed away in February (15).
