Rapper B.O.B. tried to play an April Fools' Day trick on his fans on Monday (01Apr13) by alleging his forthcoming album had been delayed until next year (14).
The Airplanes hitmaker has been working on the follow-up to 2012's Strange Clouds, but as part of the traditional prank day, he lied to his Twitter.com devotees and claimed the project had suffered a serious setback.
He wrote, "Unfortunately my album is getting pushed back to 2014..."
However, the hip-hop star's fans didn't fall for the joke and he came clean in a subsequent tweet, writing, "I guess everybody has already been pranked today.... So haha... April Fools... TooLate".
B.o.B. has yet to officially announce a release date for his as-yet-untitled third album.
