The designer's first tome will document the design and production process involved in creating a Lanvin collection and will feature 700 pages of words and pictures.
However, the first few pages will be blank.
He explained to the Los Angeles Times newspaper: "That is how I start every day."
Meanwhile, the designer has explained he creates his clothing for "mothers and daughters".
Speaking at a Los Angeles presentation of his Spring/Summer collection, he said: "LA is a city full of divas, but I think they are just sensitive men and women. My clothes are for making women feel strong and beautiful.
"My clothes are for mothers and daughters, I love all women."
Alber als expressed his desire to bring "real drama" back to fashion.
In front of a star-studded crowd including Demi Moore, Katie Holmes and Jessica Alba, he said: "Geoffrey Beene told me that fashion is not show business, it's just business. These days there are too many reality shows, and I watch many of them, but I am trying to bring back real drama to fashion."
