I'm Coming Home
Continuing a European theme, this is the first release for Norwegian Thomas Hansen outside his home country, and it's about time too. Like a long lost Neil Young album, the songs are simple but gorgeous and enhanced by a somewhat high and 'individual' voice. Hansen outsells Norwegians Kings of Convenience in his home country, if not here. Yet. As with those early 70s Neil Young albums, the sounds of the American prairie are used to bolster lovely pop songs. The songs have huge hooks, which catch on listen No 2, and keep hold. Truly lovely.
