Mumford And Sons' rocker Marcus Mumford has revealed that he's planning to go back to college in order to study farming. The front man for the fast-rising indie group married Hollywood star Carey Mulligan on a farm in the south of England in April and has evidently decided that a place in the countryside is for him. Mumford has previous higher education experience; he once took a course in classics at Edinburgh University in Scotland but dropped out to pursue his music career.

However he wants to return to academic endeavors and start studying for a degree in agriculture via the U.K.'s remote-learning organization Open University. Talking to rock magazine Q, Mumford commented "I'm thinking of doing an Open University degree, but I also really want to study agriculture because I'd really like to know how to work on a farm. I just find it so amazing, so fascinating." Currently though Mumford's attention will be on which chart placing his band's second album Babel will be placing this weekend after its release this week; they'll be hoping to go one better than their debut Sigh No More which, upon release in 2009, took second spot in both the UK and US Billboard album charts.
