Motley Crue star Nikki Sixx is on the hunt for new talent to tackle the lead roles in his upcoming Broadway show.

The rocker is working on a stage musical based on his 2007 book The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star, and he has revealed the plans are now starting to come together.

He tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "We're moving quickly (and are) close to casting," and jokes of the production, "It's not gonna be Mamma Mia!"

The rocker hopes to open the production in late 2013 or early 2014.
