Missing Andy's new single 'Kings for the Weekend' will be released on August 8th by Invasion Records. It is taken from their upcoming album, which will be released this year.
The video for Kings for the Weekend is a day in the life of a mannequin style person, following him as he gets up and goes to work, having a cigarette break, before spending the evening at a gig, featuring Missing Andy themselves. Their debut album will be released this year.
Essex based Missing Andy are: Alex Greaves (vocals), Jonathan Sharpe (keys), Rob Jones (bass), Steve Rolls (guitar) and Elliot Richardson (drums). They formed in 2008 and were playing in local clubs before signing up for UK talent show 'Must Be the Music' in 2010. They reached the finals and made the final three, coming in second place and losing to 'Emma's Imagination'. Their popularity on the show ensured that their debut single 'The Way We're Made (Made in England)' reached number 38 in the UK Album Charts.
