Former ‘Made In Chelsea’ star Millie Mackintosh has dismissed recent speculation that her marriage to rapper Professor Green is on the verge of breaking down, saying that the rumours “could not be more wrong”.

Speaking to British magazine You over the weekend, 26 year old Mackintosh responded to claims that their nearly two-year marriage was on the rocks. “You really can't believe everything you read. Obviously it is stressful having things written about you, especially when they're not true, but I don't get that upset about it,” she said.

She married 31 year old Prof Green, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, in September 2013 at a country estate in Somerset. “When the latest story came out about us, we were visiting where we had our honeymoon. It couldn't have been more wrong,” she continued.

Mackintosh also spoke about her recent decision to quit the hit reality show ‘Made In Chelsea’, revealing that playing her role meant that it was getting too intrusive on her personal life and her relationship with her husband.

“I didn’t want my relationship on the show,” she said. “I didn't feel they could film lots of what I was doing in my real life, so it petered out naturally.”

Professor Green, who released his third and most recent album Growing Up In Public last year, spoke about being part of a celebrity coupling and how it impacted on other parts of his life.

“It's funny whenever there's press about me and Millie not being together,” he told the Daily Star in the recent past. “The truth is I don't really want to go out and have a camera shoved in my face all the time. I'm getting too long in the tooth and I don't want any pictures of me battering a pap. That's for Liam Gallagher.”
