After countless will-they-won't-they moments, engagement rumours, break-up murmurings and so many other chapters in their long-lasting relationship saga, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth look to have called it quits and this time the young couple mean it.

In a recent report from US Weekly, the magazine claim to have been reached by a close friend of the couple, who confirmed that at last the singer and the Hunger Games star have decided to call it quits for good. The news was revealed early on Wednesday (May 29) that it was Liam who decided to end things, following an intervention from his elder brothers Chris (Thor) and Luke (who isn't famous) about his plans to wed the former Disney star.

The insider told US Weekly bluntly that "They are definitely over," going on to mention that the pair have decided that enough is enough and now is the time to end things for good, rather than toy with each other's emotions. Most recently, the pair were spotted at a party held at Cyrus' LA house earlier this month trading kisses and looking cosy together, however it looks as though the PDA was nothing to take too seriously as they have now called time on their relationship for good.

Cyrus and Hemsworth got engaged in June 2012 after three years together as a couple. Ever since then the pair have been taking different paths in their lives and careers and seemed to be drifting further apart with each passing week. The latest rumour, whether true or not, seems to lament the belief that the couple's relationship has hit the rocks. We will keep you posted on the news of the split as it happens.
