Miley Cyrus has received little in the way of good press recently, with her latest single and album releases usually being marred by difficulties in her personal life and the controversy surrounding her new material and music videos. A pregnancy rumour therefore was always likely to arise, and lo and behold that it exactly what happened over the weekend when Miley and rapper Juicy J appeared at the BET Hip Hop Awards together and instigated the murmuring themselves with an off-hand comment.

Miley instigated the rumours herself at the BET Awards.

During the ceremony, the two artists, who recently collaborated together on the Mike Will Made It track '23' alongside Wiz Khalifa, hinted that they've been spending a lot more time together than just being in the studio together.

“I assure you she’s been doing a lot more than twerking,” Juicy told the crowd at the awards show, at which point Miley mumbled something about being pregnant. The crowd laughed off her comment, seeing it as nothing but a joke, but Miley followed the laughs by saying, “No, I’m really pregnant!”

A relatively assertive statement to make, but apparently it was all in jest after all, and probably had something to do with the fact that her new album, Bangerz, is coming out soon too. All publicity is good publicity after all. According to Hollywood Life, who reportedly spoke to one of Miley's confidantes, the star is now embracing the rumours and will let them persist for the time being, hopefully to the benefit of her album sales.

“She is not worried about the rumors and will definitely allow them to continue as it gets her name out and she has an album to sell,” the source told Hollywood Life. “So, no news is bad news!”

Now lets just sit back and wait for the next Miley rumour. Probably a sex tape or a quickie wedding.
