Miles Teller rescued a pregnant woman from a riptide.

The 'Divergent' star rushed to the expectant mother's aid after her and her young child got into difficulty in rough waters on Miami beach in Florida yesterday (10.05.15).

The 28-year-old actor - who was soaking up the sun with his girlfriend Keleigh Sperry at the time - spotted the distressed pair struggling to battle against the tide as he swam and dashed through the water to save them as model Keleigh looked on concerned.

After helping the mother and son on to the shore, Miles chatted to them for a few minutes before returning his attention back to his stunning girlfriend and the happy couple were seen kissing and taking pictures of each other on their mobile phones, reports E! News.

The 'Whiplash' star recently opened up about his romance with Keleigh, 22, and gushed over the beauty, who he credits with helping him to stay focussed on his career.

He said: ''She's lovely. It's been pretty easy because right now, her full-time gig is kind of being with me and before her, I would never invite a girl into that world because I didn't think I could have both

''She's allowed me to be able to really focus on acting and do what I want to do. She can come to set and visit me and hang out and doesn't really distract me from it.''
