Miguel has potentially landed himself in an awful lot of trouble after it emerged he was ordered not to jump over the crowd during his performance at The Billboard Music Awards because producers deemed it too dangerous. Of course, the Latin star defied the order and lunged into the crowd, leg dropping a female fan who subsequently smashed her head against the stage.
Sources connected to the production of the annual awards show tell TMZ.com that Miguel approached producers before rehearsals and asked if he could try the jump. Producers shot down the idea, telling Miguel it was simply too dangerous.
Once show time came around, the singer ignored the order and attempted the jump, botching it completely and seriously injuring a fan. Now, the victim's lawyer says she may have suffered a brain injury as a result with a lawsuit expected to land on Miguel's doorstep in the near future.
Miguel Jumps On Girl:
After the poorly promoted album with the now defunct Jive Records, Miguel released his sophomore effort Kaleidoscope Dream on RCA Records to critical acclaim in 2012. He is yet to officially comment on the fallout from the Billboard Music Awards 2013.
What do you think? Was Miguel's jump too dangerous or did things just go very, very, wrong?
