Michelle Dockery has been cast as Jim Broadbent's daughter in 'The Sense Of An Ending'.

The 'Downton Abbey' star will be joined by her co-stars, Charlotte Rampling, Harriet Walter and Emily Mortimer, and the 'The Iron Lady' actor Broadbent, who was previously announced.

The movie - which is an adaptation of the 2011 Man Booker Prize-winning novel by Julian Barnes - will begin shooting next week and will take place over seven weeks in two locations, in London and Bristol.

Michelle's role in the movie has been extended by playwright Nick Payne, the Daily Mail newspaper reports.

'The Sense Of An Ending' will be Michelle's first role outside of the popular period drama, which will come to an end on Christmas day.

The flick is about lead character Tony Webster [Broadbent] and how his life changes after inheriting a large amount of money.

The cast also includes British actor Billy Howle, who will also star alongside Annette Bening and Saoirse Ronan in the big screen adaptation of Chekov's 'The Seagull'.

The film will be directed by Ritesh Batra, who was nominated for a BAFTA for 'The Lunchbox'.
