Actress Melissa Joan Hart has urged her fans to donate to a fund for Hurricane Isaac victims who are still struggling to rebuild their lives following Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
The storm lashed Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama earlier this week (ends27Aug12) and parts of New Orleans, which bore the brunt of Katrina seven years ago, were flooded.
Hart has now called on her Twitter.com followers to financially support the St. Bernard Project, which provides relief for survivors of the 2005 natural disaster.
In a post, she writes, "Want to help the victims of Isaac that are still rebuilding after Katrina? Please donate today by visiting http://www.stbernardproject.org/donate".
Hurricane Isaac was downgraded to a tropical storm and subsequently a tropical depression on Thursday (30Aug12).
