The 29-year-old former child star is said to have wed her 46-year-old fiancé in an intimate ceremony in New York.
Congratulations are in order Mary-Kate Olsen and her fiancé Olivier Sarkozy, who reportedly tied the knot on Friday night (November 27th). The 29-year-old actress and fashion designer is said to have wed the 46-year old French banker in an intimate ceremony after dating for three years.
Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy have reportedly wed.
According to Page Six the couple married in Manhattan, with the reception being held a private residence. The 50 guests were said to be treated to ‘bowls and bowls of cigarettes' and were served cocktails in a rear garden before dining indoors.
Mobile phones were also reportedly banned from the ceremony. The couple became engaged in March 2014, when Olivier proposed for the second time during a romantic holiday to Jamaica. The 46-year-old then presented Olsen with a 4-carat vintage Cartier diamond ring.
Earlier this year Olsen told Women's Wear Daily that she had been contemplating designing her own gown but she was in no rush to walk down the aisle. 'I'm like not even there yet,' she said. 'I think it may be a matter of getting five or six or making two or three and being stressed out. That seems kind of far away. We’ll take one step at a time.'
Sarkozy is the half-brother of former French president Nicholas Sarkozy and was previously married to writer Charlotte Bernard, with whom he has two children Julien, 13, and Margo, 11. It is the first marriage for 29-year-old Olsen.
