Deaf actress Marlee Matlin is calling on bosses behind All My Children to make the hit U.S. Tv soap opera more accessible to viewers who are hard of hearing.

The Oscar-winning actress, who has been deaf since she was 18 months old, wants executives at U.S. network ABC to add subtitles to online episodes of the long-running series so fans with hearing impairments can enjoy them.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, Matlin writes, "I'd love to encourage All My Children to offer new, online episodes with closed captions. So many fans of show are deaf and crave access!"
