'Riverdale' Executive Producer Teases Hiram's Arrival In Season 2

The series returns for a second season later this year.

Based on the characters made famous from the long-running Archie Comics series, 'Riverdale' is a dark new addition to The CW's slate. Instantly a hit with the viewers who tuned in, the first season told the story of a murdered school boy, with the mystery being wrapped up before the first slew of episodes came to a close.

One of the show's overbearing figures is Veronica Lodge's father, Hiram Lodge. All of this despite him never actually being shown on screen. Now with Mark Consuelos cast, the character will be seen literally when the new episodes debut, but what should we expect?

Nine Lives Trailer

Tom Brand has always been a workaholic and his company is in the fanal stages of one of their biggest projects to date. As with a lot of people who have high flying careers, Tom's family have taken somewhat of a backseat in his life. Particularly his wife Lara and 10 year old daughter Rebecca.

Living in a luxury city apartment, Tom isn't often found with his family but as it's Rebecca's birthday, he knows that he can't miss it. With no gift to give his daughter and knowing that he's spent such little time with her recently, Tom decides to stop off and get her a gift that's sure to make her happy - something she's asked for for years. A cat.

The store where Tom picks up the cat (called Mr. Fuzzypants) is run by an eccentric man called Felix Perkins and as soon as Mr Perkins and the newest member of the Brand family become part of Tom's life, odd things start to happen. Soon Tom's life is turned upside down and he's experiencing family life in a way that he - nor anyone else - has ever experienced before.

A Walk Among the Tombstones Trailer

Matt Scudder gave up his high-flying job with the NYPD after accidentally shooting dead a civilian while chasing away a group of criminals trying to rob the bar he was drinking in. Now working as an unlicensed private detective, this recovering alcoholic is enlisted by a man who wants Matt to find the kidnappers who took his ransom and murdered his wife. These kidnappers are no amateurs, however; they very meticulously choose their victims and it isn't long before they discover that Matt is looking for them. He may be used to taking down some pretty ruthless criminals, but he's never faced anything like this before and is constantly feeling as though he is one step behind his opposition. To nab criminals like these, he can't work within the law himself - but will that turn him into something he's tried so hard to avoid?

Problems of all kinds arise as Bettencourt and Biggs find themselves amidst a serious ethical nightmare with an indictment ahead of them and all of them face pressure from upcoming re-election campaigns. Personal and family problems are also thrown into the mix as they attempt to get through each day with parties and plenty of drinking. Friendships are tested, as are family relationships, and they all find themselves uncertain of their future.

Kelly Ripa has admitted to getting Botox in her face and armpits, claiming it makes her makeup artist's life easier. The American talk show host - named by the Hollywood Reporter as one of the most powerful people in the media for 2012 - revealed to Elle magazine that she gets Botox every seven months or so.

In her feature on the TV star, the magazine's Irina Aleksander wrote, "The spin class is punishing, but Ripa seems to outperform the twenty-somethings manically pedaling around her and emerges looking almost like she did when she arrived." Later, in the interview with Ripa, the TV star revealed, "It's the Botox. Every seven months or so my eyelid skin rests on my eyelashes. So I feel like it makes my makeup artist's life easier, and it makes my eyes look a little more open on TV, which is where I happen to work right now." The miniscule TV host even opened up about her impressive 16-year marriage to Latin heartthrob Mark Consuelos, saying, "I actually call [Mark] Desi, because the thing about Desi was that as much attention as Lucy got, Desi was always in charge."

The couple live in New York's Soho neighbourhood with their three children, Michael, 15, Lola, 11, and Joaquin, 9.
