Mario Lopez joked his wife will be pregnant again by the end of quarantine.

The 46-year-old star - who has children Gia, nine, Dominic, six, and Santino, nine months, with his partner Courtney Laine Mazza - revealed they have been ''busy'' during lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking to Page Six, he teased: ''I will be very surprised if I don't get another baby coming out of this.

''We keep busy in that department - but we also keep busy with the kids.''

However, Mario admitted there are moments his wife needs some time to herself.

He added: ''Sometimes [Courtney] needs to be alone, so she finds different places to hide in the house.''

The 'Saved By The Bell' actor had been filming the sequel series to the hit 1990s sitcom before the health crisis meant production had to be put on hold.

The show will see Mario and his co-star Elizabeth Berkley reprising their respective roles as AC Slater and Jessie Spano as their characters' children are navigating life at Bayside High.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Theissen are also set to make occasional appearances as Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski, with Zack now the Governor of California.

Despite television presenter Mario often having to be away for work, Courtney previously insisted she doesn't mind.

She said: ''Mario works so hard for our family, but no matter how long of a day he's had, he comes home and is so present. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect father for my children. He is everything.''

And the actor has credited his kids for making him smile after a really tough day and explained how fatherhood has ''complemented'' his life.

He added: ''If it's a horrible day - tough or long - I come home, go to the door and little kids yell, 'Daddy!' it makes it all better. It's only complemented my life.''
