Marshall Trailer

Thurgood Marshall (Chadwick Boseman) is well known for becoming the first African American Supreme Court Justice in 1967, following his instrumental involvement in the Brown v. Board of Education case, desegragating schools in America once and for all in 1954. Before then though, he was an attorney - an unusual profession for a black man at the time, especially one whose great grandfather was a slave.

In one of his first cases, he was asked to defend a fellow black man named Joseph Spell, who had been arrested for the alleged assault against a white female socialite named Janet Moore. It was Thurgood's job to prove the man's innocence, and that he was being wrongly targeted for his race. A fair trial was rare for an African American in the 1930s, so the pressure was truly on; it becomes especially difficult when Spell is forced to lie to protect his own life.

Of course, it's not all plain sailing for Thurgood. He may be educated, but the streets are still a dangerous place for him - as his new partner, a white man named Sam Friedman (Josh Gad), learns first hand as he is beaten for associating with him.

A Walk Among the Tombstones Trailer

Matt Scudder gave up his high-flying job with the NYPD after accidentally shooting dead a civilian while chasing away a group of criminals trying to rob the bar he was drinking in. Now working as an unlicensed private detective, this recovering alcoholic is enlisted by a man who wants Matt to find the kidnappers who took his ransom and murdered his wife. These kidnappers are no amateurs, however; they very meticulously choose their victims and it isn't long before they discover that Matt is looking for them. He may be used to taking down some pretty ruthless criminals, but he's never faced anything like this before and is constantly feeling as though he is one step behind his opposition. To nab criminals like these, he can't work within the law himself - but will that turn him into something he's tried so hard to avoid?

Frances Ha Trailer

Frances Handley is a 27-year-old aspiring modern dancer and an apprentice for a dance company, though she has no real talent in the art. She lives in an apartment in New York with her best friend Sophie who is smarter and much more mature with an ambition in publishing. As time goes on, their bond begins to weaken as their lives take different courses and their personalities take different courses. Sophie wants to move out with another friend of hers leaving Frances to work out her own life and take care of herself for once in her life. Will this pair be separated forever by romance, ambition and growing older, or will they find it in themselves to reconcile?

'Frances Ha' is a black and white comedy drama with many similar qualities to a rom com, except platonic. It has been directed by Noah Baumbach ('The Squid and the Whale', 'Greenberg') who also co-wrote the screenplay with the movie's star Greta Gerwig ('Hannah Takes the Stairs', 'Nights and Weekends'). It looks at love in a way that is rarely explored in movies these days and has so far received immense reviews since its premiere at Toronto Film Festival. It is set to hit screens on July 26th 2013.

Release date 26th July 2013

Alter Egos - Trailer Trailer

Fridge is a superhero with powers that are pretty self-explanatory, but he's not the only one. The country is pretty much overrun with crime-fighting caped crusaders; so much so that their government funding has been cut and people are less in support of them - the police even less so. With this huge problem hanging over the heads of Fridge and his best friend C-Thru, they are presented with the mission to earn superheroes respect once again. However, things take a difficult turn in Fridge's life when he discovers that his girlfriend seems to prefer his super alter ego over Brendan, his everyday geeky self, and he decides to break up with her via email. Things get even more complicated when he comes face to face with his arch enemy, Shrink, who killed his parents many years ago.

This hilarious flick gives a new meaning to 'comic' superheroes. It's a wonderful comedy take on the world of heroes and villains that has for so long grasped cinematic and comic book audiences internationally. With deliberately terribly named characters, 'Alter Egos' has been directed and written by the genius that is comic book fan Jordan Galland ('Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead'). It first opened at the Fantasia Film Festival in July and is set for release nationwide on November 20th 2012.

Starring: Kris Lemche, Joey Kern, Brooke Nevin, Danny Masterson, Christine Evangelista, John Ventimiglia, Sean Lennon, Marina Squerciati & Geneva Carr
