Bosses at management agency Jed Root sued executives at Universal Music and The Island Def Jam Music Group after the Hero star allegedly cancelled a photo session with snapper Michael Thompson.

According to TheJasmineBrand.com, Thompson was to be paid $150,000 (£93,750) for his services and an additional $228,000 (£142,500) for accrued expenses. Bosses at the agency billed the record label $171,000 (£106,875), which was paid in full.

However, according to a reported contract between the companies, bosses at the agency were still owed an additional $169,600 (£106,000) for the cancelled shoot, but label executives argued another contract stated they would not be paid until the pictures for her album package were delivered.

Bosses at the record label requested to have the lawsuit dismissed, but on 28 September (15), court papers were filed stating a confidential monetary deal had been reached.
