Police have been called in after more than $3,000 (£1,810) worth of luxury lingerie disappeared from a photo shoot starring Madonna last month (Mar14) in New York City.
The Material Girl was shooting a spread in L'uomo Vogue magazine, donning a number of expensive undergarments which were borrowed specifically for the project.
Among the 21 items which vanished were a $2,545 (£1,535) bra designed by New York-based lingerie designer Deborah Marquit, as well as a $345 (£208) thong and $545 (£329) briefs, according to news site DNAinfo.com.
Marquit tells the website, "I am at a loss and wish the pieces would be found. I am sure there is no one from the shoot that was involved, since nothing like this has ever happened before... Maybe whoever found them will return them."
The website's editors state the incident has been reported to the police.
