The Queen of Pop has confirmed she will take to The Brits stage later this month.
It’s official, Madonna will be performing at this year’s Brit Awards ceremony! With Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Sam Smith already announced for the February 25th awards show, this year’s Brits could be the biggest ever, especially now as the Queen of Pop has added her name to the mix.
Madonna will perform at this year's Brits
Confirming the news herself via Instagram, Madonna posted a picture of the Tracey Emin designed Brits Statue wrapped in black ribbon with the caption, “Hello to all my UK Rebel Hearts!!! See you at the Brits on Feb 25th #BritsImMadonna #livingforlove #rebelheart”.
The doctored picture is in keeping with the images the singer has been using to promote her latest album, Rebel Heart, due out on March 9th.

The performance will mark the first time Madonna has appeared at the awards show since 1995 when she performed ‘Bedtime Story’ in a long blonde wig with the backing of a wind machine.
Rumours of a potential Madonna Brits appearance began weeks ago when a source told Britain’s Mirror newspaper, “Madonna wants to perform to the biggest number of people for the maximum impact and there’s no better place for a controversy-filled Madonna performance than the Brits."
“She has already confirmed she will perform at the Grammys, when she will debut the new music. But her album is due out on March 9, a month after the LA ceremony, so she wants another large platform to perform her songs on just before it is released.”
“She knows she needs to really entertain and bring a good show because she’ll want to be the talking point", the source added.

The Brit Awards takes place on February 25th at London’s 02Arena.
