Madonna's daughter has boys ''queuing up to take her out'', according to her classmate.

Lourdes Leon, who is preparing to celebrate her eighteenth birthday tomorrow, has already begun following in her famous mother's footsteps by studying music, theatre and dance at the University of Michigan, and she's now said to be just as popular as her mother with the opposite sex.

A fellow student told The Sun newspaper: ''Lourdes has big shoes to fill but has the potential to do it. She has enormous ability, talent and charisma.

''She is so gorgeous and stylish too. Boys are queuing up to take her out.''

Despite having a celebrity lifestyle and her own Material Girl fashion line with mum Madonna, Lourdes - whose father is actor Carlos Leon - is said to have made a good impression on her university pals by living just like them.

She reportedly sleeps in a bunk bed in a room she shares with another student in the college's halls of residence and is often seen eating regular meals of pizza and pasta at the canteen.

The source - who reveals Lourdes uses her childhood nickname of Lola at school - added: ''She's not as sociable as many people would have thought but every day that passes she's slowly coming out of her shell.

''However, there's no diva behaviour. She's really aware of how people might judge her and doesn't want to get a bad reputation.''
