British actor Luke Evans is set to sink his teeth into a bloody new role after becoming the latest actor to portray Dracula in a new vampire movie.

The Immortals star will tackle the title character made famous by horror icons Bela Lugosi and Sir Christopher Lee in a forthcoming big screen adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic novel.

Director Gary Shore will make his feature film debut by taking charge of the Universal project, simply titled Dracula, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Production is due to begin on the movie later this year (13).
