For the past eighteen months Linkin Park have been hard at work on Meteora, their new album on Warner Bros. Records due out on March 24th, 2003. Produced by Don Gilmore and Linkin Park, Meteora features Linkin Park's new single "Somewhere I Belong," which will be released on March 17th.
Linkin Park are also scheduled to embark on an extensive series of tours beginning in early March. UK dates are set for London Brixton Academy (5th) and Manchester Apollo (7th).
Meteora is the follow-up to the band's Grammy winning debut release Hybrid Theory, the best selling album of 2001, with sales of over fourteen million copies and counting worldwide. The album spawned four hit singles, "In The End," "Crawling," "One Step Closer" and "Papercut," garnering a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance (for "Crawling") and a 2002 MTV Award for Best Rock Video (for "In The End").
The album was followed by 2002's Reanimation, a musical reinterpretation of the songs of Hybrid Theory which debuted at #3 on the UK album charts and went on to become the biggest selling rock/remix album in music history with sales of over a million worldwide.
Linkin Park is comprised of Rob Bourdon (drums), Brad Delson (guitar), Joe Hahn (dj), Phoenix (bass), Mike Shinoda (vocals), and Chester Bennington (vocals).
Linkin Park hope that fans will enjoy Meteora for years to come.
