The 2020 Presidential election looks like it's shaping up to be one big star studded affair. Weeks after Kanye West announced he’d be running for election in five years time, it seems the next star looking to add their name to the ballot papers is Lindsay Lohan, who announced her intentions on Instagram, Friday (cause where else?)

The actress posted a pic of herself and a man looking like they were deep in conversation at a formal event and wrote, "In #2020 I may run for president. Through ups and downs #YESWECAN lets do this @kanyewest #truespirits thank your for inspiring us to be better people @barackobama #kanyewest2020 #lindsaylohanat35 #lindsaylohan2020 with #34yearsofEXPERIENCE #unitingWORLDnations @aliforneycenter @savethesociety @unicef.”

Next Lohan posted a picture of herself and potential presidential rival Kanye West, captioning it, ‘The first thing I would like to do as president of is take care of all of the children suffering in the world #queenELIZABETH showed me how by having me in her country.’

But if Lohan does decide to run for the oval office she’ll face stiff competition from Kanye, who seems pretty serious about his bid. Last weekend he performed in front of President Barack Obama at the Democratic National Committee fundraiser and even got some advice from the President himself.

“In case Kanye is serious about this whole POTUS thing, or, as Kanye calls it, ‘peezy', you’ve got to deal with strange characters who behave as if they are on a reality TV show,” Obama said. “Saying you have a beautiful dark twisted fantasy — that’s what’s known as off-message in politics,” he added referring to Kanye's 2010 album.
