Allen was visibly moved by the stories of some residents she met, of the struggles they had been through to get to the UK, where many claim they have family connections. Lily Allen's return to music has been eventful to say the least. She managed to garner plenty of negative attention online for her allegedly racist video for her Platinum single 'Hard Out Here', but she's out to boldly show she doesn't care about criticism from ruthless 'keyboard warriors' with her newest single 'URL Badman'.
The track opens with playful, music-box like tones before the steady drum beat kicks in and Lily begins to express her apathy over her frequent criticism. As usual, she's talking about real, contemporary issues in her uniquely comedic way that forces you to listen all the way through.
The dreamlike, psychedelic hooks dissipate with the arrival of the echoing chorus. The song seems to explode with synth whirrs and dubstep bassline - it's pretty cheesy in all honesty, but it sort of doesn't matter as it only adds to the humour. Despite this, there's another incredible catchy melody from an artist who has always been a master at creating sing-a-long tunes.

The pop star let her views regarding the FIFA boss be known at Glastonbury Festival.
Younger revellers at this year's Glastonbury Festival may have needed to cover their ears during Lily Allen's set yesterday afternoon. The pop singer, who is known for her occasionally foul language, launched into a profanity-filled tirade against FIFA boss Sepp Blatter.
"The next song is dedicated to possibly one of, actually not, the most corrupt, annoyingly corrupt, person there is in the world, Sepp f***ng Blatter, you c***," she said before kicking off her hit 'F**k You.' Many in the crowd joined Lily in her anger towards the football supremo and were heard cheering loudly.
The 29 year-old singer crowned her musical comeback with a slot on the prestigious Pyramid Stage on the first day of the British festival. Appearing in a satin pink and white ball gown with a pint of beer in her hand, the 'Hard Out Here' star performed on a stage adorned with enormous baby milk bottles.

Monty Python's playful effort is the best example of a World Cup 2014 song yet
Monty Python’s cheeky reimagining of 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life' is a playful ditty, sure to galvanise the nation’s spirit ahead of the World Cup in Brazil. This is probably the best unofficial World Cup song England has had. Sorry, Lily Allen.

Lily Allen performing at Radio One's Big Weekend in Glasgow
Lily returned to Radio One’s Big Weekend this Saturday in Glasgow performing on the main stage after a five year absence from the festival. From the looks of things, Lily had a great time catching up with old friends and even making a few new ones. When she wasn't treating fans to songs form her latest album, she was treating them to some star studded snaps via her always entertaining Instagram page.
What are some of the best pop albums released so far in 2014? Here's a look at five of them.
We've nearly reached the halfway point of 2014, and through that period, we’ve certainly had enough music to last an entire year already. Luckily, there’s still a good amount of time to go, and rumored albums from the likes of Adele, Kanye West, and Taylor Swift just barely scratch the surface on what we could possibly see before the year’s end. However, until the day that there’s confirmation of any of those records existing, we have the top five records from 2014 that are definitely worth checking out.
05) Karmin - Pulses
After taking over the airwaves with their 2012 platinum single, ‘Brokenhearted,’ it was near radio silence from pop-duo Karmin when it came to their full-length. Rumored feuds with their label, Epic Records, may have had a part in what delayed the record, but it finally saw a release last march. Pulses is a 13-track jam fest filled with the best qualities Karmin has, with even a couple new ones thrown it. It didn’t perform nearly as well on the charts as it should have, but with a push to the song ‘Night Like This,’ it might just give Karmin another hit.

Lily Allen is looking very trim lately, but what encouraged her recent weight gain and how did she drop the post-baby pounds?
It has to be said, Lily Allen is looking in pretty great shape at the moment. When she first rose to fame in 2006 at just 20 years old, there was barely an ounce of fat on her and no-one could possibly have made any negative comments regarding her weight. However, after a weight gain following a difficult period, the ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ singer was famously embroiled in a Twitter tiff with toxic Katie Hopkins, who had criticised the mother of two. "I quite liked her when she was singing and kind of interesting and then she went off to tell us all about being a mother," Hopkins tweeted, adding, "She was removing herself from the spotlight because she wanted to be a mother and that largely involved gaining two stone and looking pretty hideous."
Lily Allen was trim before the birth of her two daughters
Unkind words are Katie’s forte, particularly when you consider the catalysts to Allen’s weight gain. The star had previously suffered a miscarriage in 2008, causing her to spiral into depression. She met her husband Sam Cooper in 2009 and became pregnant, only to suffer from a stillbirth 6 months into her pregnancy. Allen finally managed to go full term with her daughter, Ethel Mary in 2011, followed by a second daughter, Marnie Rose in January 2013.

Lily Allen's cover of Keane's 'Somewhere Only We Know' could be heading to be the Christmas No.1 as it reigns the UK singles charts for a third week.
Lily Allen outlasts strong pushes from Avicii and Leona Lewis to score her third week at No.1 with Keane's cover 'Somewhere Only We Know'.
The track, which is gained popularity after featuring on the John Lewis Christmas advert, regained the No.1 spot last week and hasn't moved since, The Official Charts Company reports.
However, this week was a close competition as Avicii's 'Hey Brother' came in 2nd place just 5,700 copies behind Allen.
Lily Allen's cover of Keane's 'Somewhere Only We Know' returns to take the No.1 spot on the Official UK Singles Chart by holding off tough competition from One Direction's 'Story Of My Life'.
After reaching the charts two weeks ago, the 27 year-old was knocked off the top spot last Sunday by Calvin Harris Alesso and Hurts' 'Under Control', but reclaims the top spot this week, reports the Official Charts Company.
The track, which is tipped to be this year's Christmas No.1, features in department store John Lewis' 'Bear And Hare' festive TV commercial.
The Dutch DJ scored his first No. 1 at the first time of asking
Lily Allen couldn't secure her place at the top of the UK Singles Chart this week, as her cover of Keane's 'Somewhere Only We Know' was pipped to the podium by a school kid from The Netherlands. Garrix managed to secure the top spot ahead of Allen with his dancefloor anthem 'Animals,' beating Allen's holiday number to the top of the chart.
Allen's cover, which serves as the soundtrack for the much-applauded John Lewis Christmas advert, was unable to earn the singer her first number one since returning to music a few weeks ago. Still, the success of the single and the advert have gone on to spark renewed interest in the Keane original, which has returned to the chart at No. 29.
Garrix could have had the honour of being the youngest artist to reach No. 1 this year were it not for the infectious 'Royals' by 16-year-old Lorde reaching the top spot three week ago. Regardless, reaching the No. 1 spot overseas must be a pretty extraordinary feeling, especially when you're just 17! Speaking to OfficialCharts.com, the Dutch wunderkind said, “I didn't expect this success at all! I made Animals as a club record and seeing it chart so high worldwide and especially a Number 1 in the UK was really beyond my expectations. I will definitely celebrate this with my parents, friends and at school!"

Lily Allen's 'Hard Out Here' is direct response to the music industry's sexualization of young female acts.
Lily Allen marked her return following four years away from the music business on Tuesday (November 12, 2013) with a new song and video, Hard Out Here - a scathing parody of the modern pop video and the overly-sexualized requirements of female singing stars.
The 28-year-old's absence from the music industry came as acts like Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus began thriving with highly sexualized videos and lyrics. Even the likes of Taylor Swift - previously considered a girl-next-door country pop singer - is now dancing around the stage in more provocative outfits.
In the new video, Allen is laid flat on an operating table as surgeons go to work. A suited male music executive asks how she possible managed to "get like this," with Lily replying, "Um...I had two babies." A sexually provocative video plays in the background.

A big congratulations to Professor Green and Millie Mackintosh who are finally married after two years of dating! The rapper and the 'Made In Chelsea' star tied the knot at the Babington House chapel in Somerset yesterday (September 10th 2013) where they were not only surrounded by beautiful countryside, but also many relatives and friends.
Millie was a stunning bride in her Alice Temperley gown
Millie looked especially elegant in a floaty gown with lace capped sleeves designed by Alice Temperley, a waist length veil and Christian Louboutin heels, while Professor Green (real name Stephen Manderson) maintained his usual suave appearance with a blue suit and tie.
There was heartening news as Lily Allen’s baby came into the world last night (January 8, 2013), to give the pop star her second child with husband Sam Cooper, following on from the arrival of her first child Ethel 14 months ago.
You might recall that around two years ago Allen was beset by tragedy after losing a baby son when six months pregnant. However, managing to beat the depression that came from that, she and Cooper married in the summer of 2011 before having Ethel at the end of that year. Now another girl, little Marnie, has followed. Talking to The Sun, a friend of the couple said “Marnie is a real cutie. Sam and Lily are ecstatic about adding another girl to the family. A little sister for Ethel is brilliant news to lift the January blues for the family.”
Following a break from music, Allen started working on her third solo album last year whilst pregnant with Marnie. In recent days she’d been making a concerted effort to go into labour; at one point she posted on Twitter that she’s started gorging on curry in order to get proceedings under way, writing “3rd curry this week... cosywomb”. It evidently did the trick, and 2013 looks to be shaping to be a great year for her and her family.
Lily Allen has declared she does not condone drug use, after being criticised for suggesting cocaine use can be acceptable for some people.
The Smile star had said in an interview with The Word magazine that friends who regularly take the Class A drug are able to lead a normal life.
But after attacks from MPs and anti-drug campaigners, her spokesperson has issued a statement clarifying the 24-year-old's comments.
"During an interview with The Word magazine, Lily Allen was asked about the lyrics of a song on her album called Everyone's At It," it reads.
"The song's subject matter concerns drug use At no point does she say that drugs are a good thing or that she condones drug use; in fact she says that 'I can spot the signs [of people on drugs] and it terrifies me'."
The track refers to both "legally prescribed drugs like anti-depressants" and illegal substances, the spokesperson said.
"Lily Allen would like to state unequivocally that she does not condone illegal drug use and has every sympathy with individuals and families whose lives have been blighted by drugs," the statement added.
However, Allen's comments have moved Carmen Collins - the mother of the late children's TV presenter Natasha Collins - to encourage the singer to consider the impact of her remarks about cocaine.
"It saddens me to think that young people who look up to Lily Allen will be influenced by her comments," Ms Collins told the Daily Mail newspaper.
Her daughter - the fiancee of the late Mark Speight - died last year after falling unconscious in the bath having taken cocaine. Mr Speight later took his own life.
"I'd like to show Lily Allen all the letters I've received, since Natasha and Mark died, from families who say they have lost loved ones or are powerless to release their children from the grip of drug addiction," Ms Collins added.
"Ultimately, I believe cocaine was responsible for both their deaths. I would just like Lily Allen to stop for a second and think about what she's saying and change it."
She continued: "She is a role model for so many young people and we are talking about the future of a whole generation here."
