Police In Georgia Have Apprehended The Man Accused Of Firing Shots At One Of Lil Wayne's Tour Buses In April (14), Days After Obtaining A Warrant For His Arrest.
Jimmy Carlton Winfrey was named as the main suspect in the investigation last week (ends29May15), amid allegations he opened fire on the Lollipop hitmaker's vehicle as the driver pulled away from the Compound nightclub in Atlanta following a performance.
Cops claimed Winfrey committed the crime in order to raise his gang status and they charged him with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, criminal damage, possession of a firearm by a felon, criminal gang activity, reckless conduct and discharging a weapon near the street.
Winfrey, who was previously said to have served as a road manager for Wayne's rap rival, Young Thug, finally surrendered to authorities on Tuesday (02Jun15), according to TMZ.com.
It is unclear if Wayne was onboard the bus that was damaged during the shooting, but no injuries were reported.
