The hip-hop star launched court papers against the label last month (Feb15), seeking $1.3 million (£810,000) for false accounting amid allegations the Hot Boy$ member was not paid for songs he released while signed to the firm.

Turk is also seeking to have his record contract voided and is demanding the return of his music rights.

Williams, aka Birdman, and his Cash Money Records co-founder and brother Ronald 'Slim' Williams had until Wednesday (11Mar15) to formally answer to the accusations, but Turk reveals they are trying to resolve the issue out of court.

Turk tells, "Today was the final day for Cash Money to answer the lawsuit, but they have asked for a 30 day extension. It only means that the ball is still rolling, and we are trying to resolve this matter without any litigation if possible."

It's not the only legal headache for the Williams brothers - Turk's Hot Boy$ bandmate Lil Wayne is also suing the pair for unpaid wages, demanding $51 million (£34 million) to cut ties with Cash Money.
