Incarcerated rapper Lil Boosie has not received any of the profits from a series of benefit concerts held to raise funds to help him fight murder charges.
The star, real name Torrence Hatch, is accused of allegedly hiring a hitman to kill Terry Boyd in October, 2009.
He has also faced further counts of reportedly smuggling drugs into jail while he was behind bars in Louisiana and his combined troubles have left him facing the possibility of the death penalty.
Boosie is currently being held in Louisiana State Penitentiary, where he is only allowed out of his cell for one hour a day.
The rapper's mother, Connie Hatch, claims a number of benefit gigs have been thrown across the U.S. by members of his Trill Entertainment Label, including rappers Webbie, Foxx and Lil Phat, in a bid to aid his legal defence, but Boosie's concerned mum alleges her son has yet to see any of the cash raised in his name.
She tells OnWaxMagazine.com, "We haven’t reaped any money from any Free Boosie Concerts. Not any... They have people thinking that this concert is being sponsored to help Torrance. I contacted them about nine months ago and one of the guys told me it’s not true. But I found out because I received flyers from people in different states."
