The Los Angeles Kings capitalized on the New York Rangers' hangover from an energy-sapping seven games series with Chicago by scoring a 3-2 win over their east-coast rivals in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The final few minutes were frantic and the Kings were unusually scrappy, though managed to hold on in a game that Rangers veteran Brad Richards knew was a missed opportunity.

"We had a chance to win," Richards told Sports Illustrated. "We had a great opportunity. Now we made it hard on ourselves."

Anyway, we don't want to talk about the game - we want to talk about the slew of celebrities that attended the game. And no, we don't want to talk about David Beckham, or Rihanna or some other camera hungry A-listers in the front-row - we want to talk about Larry David. The Curb star is apparently pretty good friends with Fox Sports Live host Charissa Thompson and the pair set next to each other during Game 1 on Wednesday.

The pair even shot their own mock news report on Instagram, though seemingly ran out of video time.

"It's very quiet in here tonight Charissa - the Kings are very big and I'm a little." said David before getting cut off.

Elsewhere, actress Kate Bosworth enjoyed a thrilling date with her director husband Michael Polish, watching the game from up in the cheap seats. The 31-year-old actress appeared quietly pleased with proceedings, but the mystery woman next to her really got into the swing of things.

'Entourage' star Kevin Connolly and show-runner Doug Ellin treated themselves to a couple of beers and seemed to be having a whale of a time. Connolly broke his leg in two places while playing football with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson last year, but seemed fit as a fiddle at the Stanley Cup game.

'Arrow' actor Stephen Amell was probably the most vocal of the celebrities at the Kings vs Rangers game, shouting random nuggets of encouragement to his team next to a strange looking bearded man.
