Bradley Cooper is in talks to produce and star in Lance Armstrong biopic 'Red Blooded American'.
The Oscar-nominated 'Silver Linings Playbook' actor is being linked to Warner Bros.' new project which will be directed by Jay Roach, after previously being offered the lead role in J.J. Abrams' rival Armstrong movie for Paramount.
Cooper is set to come on board as a producer for the film - which is one of the three about the disgraced cyclist in development - and may also play one of the two lead roles in the flick, either portraying Armstrong or fellow American cyclist, Tyler Hamilton, who candidly spoke about his teammate's use of performance enhancing drugs on US TV.
Roach's movie was written by 'Side Effects' scribe Scott Z. Burns and will be produced by Roach and Atlas Entertainment's Charles Roven and Alex Gartner.
'Star Trek Into Darkness' director Abrams is also behind a biopic on the former Tour de France winner - who was banned from cycling and stripped of his seven gold medals after admitting to doping - which is based on Juliet Macur's book 'Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong'.
British director Stephen Frears will direct a third film about the cyclist for Working Title Pictures, with Ben Foster confirmed to play Armstrong.
