Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey has been teasing the release of her fifth studio album, with the working title Norman F***ing Rockwell, since the end of the summer. Lana Del Rey And Azealia Banks' Twitter Feud Escalates

Lana Del Rey Azealia Banks Kanye West

Lana Del Rey’s social media feud with Azealia Banks is growing more intense, after the rapper had called out Lana for criticising Kanye West’s support for president Donald Trump.

The often controversial Banks, whose top hit single was ‘212’, had described Del Rey as “vapid”, after the singer had last week left a lengthy comment on Kanye West’s Instagram post. All this comes in the context of the rap megastar’s recurring support for the divisive president Trump. Got all that?

“Don’t use Kanye for your own vapid attempts to seem politically aware when there is SO MUCH MORE bootleg witchcraft you could be doing to TRY and take down 45,” Banks retorted on Instagram.

Dave Grohl PERFORMS NIRVANA’S ‘IN BLOOM’

Since finding colossal fame on his own terms with Foo Fighters all those years ago, Dave Grohl very rarely breaks into his former band Nirvana’s catalogue.

However, this week he made an exception, taking to the drums for a guest spot alongside Trombone Shorty at Los Angeles’ Voodoo Threauxdown Festival for a rendition of ‘In Bloom’, the classic fourth single from Nirvana’s Nevermind album.

Lana Del Rey "Knocked Down" After Crazed Fan Rushes Stage

Lana Del Rey

Pop icon Lana Del Rey was reportedly knocked over by a crazed male fan who jumped the security barrier and rushed the stage at the singer’s gig in Antwerp earlier this week.

The American singer, 32, was performing at the Sportpaleis in the Belgian city on Tuesday night (April 17th), touring her most recent fourth studio album Lust For Life. It wasn’t until the next morning that footage of the incident surfaced, which showed a male fan apparently jumping over a railing onto the stage just as she was leaving, flanked by security.

Immediately, social media began to fill up with speculation that the star may have been injured, with some witnesses claiming that the man ‘landed’ on her. Spokespeople for Del Rey have not yet commented on the incident.

It's Not True About The Lawsuit: Radiohead Have Not Sued Lana Del Rey For 'Get Free'

Radiohead Lana Del Rey

The situation between Lana Del Rey and Radiohead is not quite as serious as the singer made out, as the band's music publishers have just released a statement denying that any lawsuit had taken place or that they had been asking for 100 percent of the publishing for her song 'Get Free'.

The 32-year-old told her Twitter followers recently that Radiohead were suing her because of claims that her new song 'Get Free' from her album 'Lust For Life' sounded too much like their 1992 debut single 'Creep'. She even went as far as to say that lawyers have been relentless in that they would only accept 100 percent of the publishing. However, it seems no legal action has yet taken place.

Here's Why You Won't Hear Lana Del Rey's Song 'Cola' Live

Lana Del Rey

With the predatory uncurrent of Hollywood finally being unveiled, Lana Del Rey has decided to drop one of her tracks from any future set list. Her tune 'Cola' from her 2012 EP 'Paradise' has always been a controversial one, but in the current climate it would be a tasteless one to tour with.

'Cola', which went on to feature in the reissue of her second album 'Born to Die: The Paradise Edition', was co-written by Rick Nowels with lyrics inspired by a comment that Lana's former boyfriend made about American girls.

Lana Del Rey's Album Goal

Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey's ''goal'' on her new album was to be happy.

The 'Summertime Sadness' hitmaker wanted to experience having ''a lot of momentum'' in her daily life with her latest LP 'Lust for Life' as she felt a ''little stuck in the same spot'' with her previous music.

Asked if she's happy, she said: ''Yeah ... That was my goal, you know, to get to that place of feeling like in my daily life I had a lot of momentum. Like a moving-on-ness from wherever that other place was that 'Honeymoon' and 'Ultraviolence' came from. I loved those records, but I felt a little stuck in the same spot.''

Lana Del Rey Shuns The American Flag From Her Future Tours

Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey might be your typical all-American girl in many ways, but she's feeling less than patriotic these days thanks to Trump. In fact, she's determined to change up her whole image and that includes removing national flag images from all her tour visuals.

The singer is releasing her eagerly anticipated fourth studio album 'Lust for Life' this week, and while it's another album brimming with American nostalgia, she admits that she does feel 'uncomfortable' singing love songs about her country in the current political climate.

Lana Del Rey: Lust For Life Is The 'opposite' Of Born To Die

Lana Del Rey Stevie Nicks

Lana Del Rey insists her new album is the ''complete opposite'' of 'Born To Die'.

The 32-year-old musician released her debut studio album five years ago in 2012, and as she gears up to release her fifth venture 'Lust For Life' next month, the star insists her sound couldn't be more evolved.

She said: ''They're complete opposites, and it's funny because when I chose the title, I didn't think about it right away. It was the title of the first song I wrote for this record. But there are so many things that have gotten me to the point that I'm at now. One of them is just time. And because I do write everything myself, I just wanted to chronicle how I was feeling honestly, in the moment, for each record.''

G-Eazy's New Album Reflects 'new Chapter' In Life

Lana Del Rey

G-Eazy's new album will represent the ''next chapter'' of his life.

The 28-year-old musician - whose real name is Gerald Earl Gillum - is gearing up to release his fifth studio album 'The Beautiful and Damned' later this year, and has said the music on the record will explore the ''yin and yang'' of his personality.

He said: ''This is the next chapter of Gerald. I think [the fans] know me well enough by now, so this is just the next chapter of my life. I'm further exploring my Gemini; you know, the duality and the split personality of who I am. That's 'The Beautiful and Damned'. There's multiple layers to the title and the concept of the album, but that's one of the better messages. I'm exploring that yin and yang of my personality.''

Lana Del Rey - Honeymoon Album Review

In this somewhat sanctimonious and cynical world in which we live, where everything is analysed to the Nth degree and there is more time spent looking at flaws and faults than achievement and artistry, it would be quite easy to be derisory about Lana Del Rey (many of her detractors already have been). I think some are happier just to pick holes whilst others are just missing the point and don't get it. Either way they are losing out.

Lana Del Rey - Honeymoon Album Review

Lana Del Rey is unique. Her whole image, persona, style, song writing and delivery is unparalleled in contemporary music. Whether you think it's conceptualised or cliched doesn't really matter to me because the end result is such sublime music. She may be mocked and mimicked in equal measure but no one does what she does so well; there is no one who can touch her as a torch song singer.

Lana Del Rey is like a David Lynch dream realised. She flirts with the seedy, sleazy and subversive but sells the seductive, sultry chanteuse so well. Lana lives in a world between twilight and dusk where lamp light and shadows make for a sense of foreboding unease. She's a guilty pleasure that resides in a perversely attractive dimly lit underworld. On her fourth album, 'Honeymoon', Lana barely sets foot into daylight, she inhabits a world of cocktail dresses and kitten heels, double-breasted wide pinstriped suits and brogues, flock wallpaper, velvet and velour and you have to say she's in her element.
