Lady GaGa fans crashed Internet servers on Tuesday (19Jun12) after tickets for her South African concerts went on sale.
Devotees flocked online after passes to Gaga's upcoming Born This Way Ball shows were released, just 24 hours after the pop star announced plans to play two concerts in the country later this year (12).
However, thousands of fans were left in limbo when web servers shut down after struggling to meet high booking demands.
Lady Gaga herself was stunned by the news, tweeting, "Just woke up to emails saying South African monsters (fans) crashed the online ticket servers due to high demand for The Btw Ball! I cant believe it!"
The singer assured followers the glitch would be sorted out, adding, "I can't wait!!! Ah!!"
A statement from web retailer Computicket states, "We apologise for the inconvenience and have implemented a workaround to solve this issue."
Lady Gaga will play Johannesburg on 30 November (12) and in Cape Town on 3 December (12).
