Pop star Kylie Minogue made one young fan's dream come true in her native Melbourne, Australia last week (ends19Jun11) by pulling him onstage for a duet.
The Spinning Around hitmaker returned to her home city for a string of dates at the Rod Laver Arena as part of her Aphrodite: Les Folies tour.
Minogue's friends and family, including her sister Dannii, turned out to see the star perform - and the petite singer had a special surprise in store for one lucky audience member.
After seeing young Oliver in the crowd with a banner requesting a duet at the show, Minogue invited him up to the stage to sing with her on hit Especially For You, which was originally a duet with Jason Donovan.
The 13 year old later told reporters, "I was overwhelmed, I just had this great grin on my face... I was nearly in tears of joy."
Speaking after one of the Melbourne gigs, Minogue said, "I don't think I've ever been happier. I've been sucking up all the love from my family. My little nephews were in the audience, I kept looking over to see if they were there. And one of them lasted the whole time. He's five! Five years old and he did it. It was magical."
