Rapper Kurupt has launched a crowd-funding campaign online in a bid to raise $15,000 (£9,375) for a new album and Dvd project.

The It's Over star recently announced plans for a Cd called Gtv2, which would be accompanied by a documentary film taking fans behind the scenes of music video shoots, studio sessions, his tour with Snoop Dogg, and movie sets with the likes of Kurt Russell and Steven Seagal.

He is in the process of shooting the project with director Daniel Laughlin, aka Dr. Zodiak, but he has reached out to fans to help cover the costs.

The Kickstarter.com fundraiser is currently halfway to its goal, with 53 people pledging money to the support Gtv2, which he hopes to release this spring (14).

Kurupt has until 26 March (14) to reach his target.
