The rapper fighting with the sports star isn't actually that rare an occurrence.
T.I. and Floyd Mayweather had a pretty big bust-up at the weekend: a fight broke out after the boxer allegedly made some untoward comments about improper friendship between the boxer and the rapper's wife, Tameka "TIny" Cottle. Punches and chairs were reportedly thrown in the fight between the two celebs who were filmed brawling in a Vegas Fatburger.
In honour of the sheer scandal the incident has generated, we've rounded up a list of five other examples where rappers have battled with sports stars, indicating an almost cat-and-dog-like relationship between the two professionals.

Hip hop star Rick Ross shows his softer side as he attends Samsung's Hope For Children charity gala at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. He was spotted on the red carpet alongside basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets and Kim Kardashian's ex-husband Kris Humphries.
'Gladiator' star Russell Crowe, who plays Superman's biological father in 'Man Of Steel', was spotted posing next to rapper RZA at the movie's world premiere at Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Center in New York City. The movie's composer Hans Zimmer, and two other stars, Antje Traue and Christopher Meloni, also made appearances.
Does this mean wedding ceremony is imminent for Kim and Kanye? Only if the price is right we assume.
Kim Kardashian has finally ended it with Kris Humphries once and for all, the two coming to an agreement in their divorce terms and things ending between them on Monday (June 3). Their divorce lasted way longer than their 72-day marriage, but then again don't people say that it's healthy to remain in contact with your ex?
Humphries allowed the divorce proceedings to drag on for as long as it did because he was seeking an annulment, rather than a traditional divorce, form the reality star on the grounds that the marriage was a sham and Kim only tied the knot with him as a publicity stunt (the nerve). This was something that Kim flat out denied as she went for the divorce, saying she only wed him for love, albeit a temporary love that only just made it past the two-month stage. The two got married as part of a two-part E! special in 2011 before splitting up a short while after, and if that isn't love then we don't know what is.
The long-running divorce saga was, like much of her life, one of the main focuses for her reality series and featured heavily in the Keeping Up With The Kardashians spin-off Kourtney and Kim Take New York. The celebrity showed her real feeling when she broke down crying in front of the camera in a scene that wasn't at all staged, in which she admitted to loving Kris deeply but her feelings had changed since their marriage.

The Kim Kardashian v Kris Humphries case takes a twist
The estranged couple were required to attend BY LAW, so Humphries’ decision might hurt him on April 19th, when a hearing takes place to see if he should be sanctioned. It would have been welcome news for Kardashian, who arrived wearing a long silver tunic over white pants. The basketball player is claiming, according to sources, that a delay or cancellation of his flight was the cause of his non-attendance. We’re assuming that’ll either be determined as true or false on the April 19th. "It's a really bad if he didn't appear and he didn't get permission not to be here," Certified Family Law Specialist Lynn Soodik, who is not involved in this case, tells E! "It seems like it's not as important to him." “They are trying to get them to settle without a trial," Soodik says. "You have an experienced judicial officer listening and telling you what they think your outcome will be at trial.”
Kardashian has since started dating Kanye West, and is pregnant with his baby. But her lingering marriage to Humphries, which the sports star claims was a publicity stunt, has meant the new couple can’t wed, which is more of an issue for the religious rapper.
Kim Kardashian's ex shirked on a deal with the suit store owner and it could be a costly mistake
The owner of a Beverly Hills suit shop is not happy with Kim Kardashian’s ex Kris Humphries. Not happy at all. In fact, he’s so unhappy with Kris Humphries, that he’s taking him to court and suing him for more than $52,000. Now, what could Kris possibly have done to anger this suit maker, one wonders?
According to TMZ, Scott Hill struck up a deal with Humphries a few years ago – when he was still with reality star Kim Kardashian, whereby Kris could get a 30% discount on clothing from the store, so long as he introduced Hill to two of his NBA basketball-playing buddies. It should have been a pretty sweet deal for Kris – he didn’t even have to make sure that his buddies bought anything. Just the introduction was good enough for Hill. However, what actually happened, reportedly, is that Humphries took advantage of the deal by splashing out on more than $46,000 worth of clothes, using his massive discount but never actually introduced any of his sporting pals to the business owner.
What makes matters worse is that Kris not only didn’t stick to the bargain, but he also owes over $6,000 in unpaid suit bills. That’s a lot of suit to be wearing for free, Mr Humphries! No doubt Hill is feeling a little irked by how things have turned out, given that Humphries and Kardashian’s relationship was notoriously short-lived. We bet Kanye would have been a better dude to strike up a relationship with… if only he’d hung on a couple of years…

Was this a near miss for Kris Humpries?
Tiger Woods, Lindsey Vonn, Kris Humpries and Kim Kardashian were almost involved in an odd swap. See, Von and Humpries nearly dated, according to multiple sources, it has been revealed.
A source told Radar Online: “Woods wasn’t Vonn’s only suitor … Bachelor No. 2 was none other than Kim Kardashian ex Kris Humphries. They’re both from Minnesota, so they had a lot to talk about.” And this was backed up by the pair conversing on Twitter. Humphries wrote: “Hanging with a fellow Minnesotan @lindseyvonn. Gotta get her back on lake minnetonka soon!” Vonn responded, before retweeting his post: “I know! Def need to get back!!” Although according to Hollywood Life, Humphries and Vonn were never romantically involved. A source told the gossip site: “It’s not true. They hung out with a group of friends last summer in Los Angeles. They met at a club that once and that was it.” With all the rumours circulating that Vonn and Wood’s relationship was merely a PR stunt, maybe Humpries’ failed attempts to woo her, if that’s what they were, were a lucky escape.
Having said that, his ill-fated relationship with Kim Kardashian - constant court dates and a messy divorce in the wake of Kim and Kanye West’s relationship – mean Humphries decisions on relationships shouldn’t be trusted.

This represents ‘first blow’ for Kardashian as Humphries’ reasons for more time were two-fold; he has basketball games to play, and other contractual obligations to fulfil, and, as his lawyer Marshall Waller explained, "This is a fraud case. It really is. And that is a case that takes a lot of time to develop. We are not ready to go forward. We do need more time." Kardashian's attorney, Laura Wasser dismissed that, saying "Sometimes litigants had to miss a day or two of work," while also stating that "We are not asking for special treatments, and we believe arguments made by [Humphries'] side are without merit." So it would appear that Kardashian has triumphed in round 1, but Judge Gordon, with his experience in high profile cases, having judged on the Britney Spears divorce, won’t let that affect the court case in May.
Wasser also told E! News that the next that the next court date is set for on April 12. This will be a mandatory settlement conference required by law, and that both Kardashian and Humphries are required to attend. So, whether you’re team Kim or Team Kris, we’ll see you with an update then!
Kardashian filed for divorce on Oct. 31, 2011, but Humphries wanted the marriage annulled, saying Kim only married him for the sake of her show. The complications have lead to a drawn out process, which became even more tangled when Kayne West got involved. He and Kim wanted to wed given West’s traditional beliefs and the fact they’re expecting, so a May 6 trial date – set by Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon on Friday – will come as welcome news to the couple. Humphries' lawyer wanted more time so that he could prepare a valid case for annulment, but the judges ruled that he had plenty of time to prepare. The basketball player also attempted to delay proceedings due to his status as an athlete, proposing an end of season trial, but this was also dismissed. Kardashian’s lawyer said her client was ready for trial. “Let’s get this case dispensed with,” attorney Laura Wasser said.
So come May 6th we’ll be in for around 5 days of trial time, presided by Gordon, who, having ruled on the Britney Spears divorce, is no stranger to a high profile case.
The marriage between Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian famously lasted only 72 days. Just as famously their divorce has now taken a year and a half to come to fruition, and it still hasn't. To make matters even worse, Humphries' lawyer has just handed in his resignation, essentially, and is accusing his ex-client of abusing the law system. Drama!
According to TMZ, his former attorney Marshall Waller has told Kris that he's clutching at vapors with the case he's trying to build against his ex-partner and that there are no legal grounds for him to simply annul the marriage rather than receive an official divorce because there is simply no evidence of fraud on Kim's behalf. Uh-oh! That's bad news for Humphries. Those legal bills must be racking up.
Kris, Kim and her lawyer all met in court today to discuss where to go further, with Kardashian's lawyer undoubtedly requesting a court date ASAP. That's bad news for Kris, but the one light at the end of this very dark, very long tunnel for the basketball player may be that he could possibly argue for more time having just been ditched by his legal representation. On another downside, what lawyer is going to pick up his case now?
It's all looking very bleak for Kris Humphries, isn't it? It seems his legal battle with Kim Kardashian is almost over, after his own lawyer Marshall Waller made it clear to his client there are absolutely NO legal grounds for annulling his marriage to Kim, simply because there is no evidence of fraud. In case you haven't been keeping up with this (we don't blame you), Kris claims Kardashian married him for no reason other than to further her own career. Of course, Kardashian denies this.
Sources tell TMZ.com that Waller and Kris have reached an impasse because the basketball star's out-of-state attorney Lee Hutton won't budge from the annulment thing. Waller filed legal documents on Thursday (February 14, 2013) asking the judge to get him "the hell out of the case." Basically, Waller doesn't think Humphries has a chance of winning the lawsuit. In his motion, Waller claims he and Kris have "irreconcilable differences," - exactly the grounds for a normal divorce.
Kim and Kris' lawyers are in court this morning when divorce-queen Laura Wasser will demand a trial date as early as next month. Wasser and Kardashian basically have the case in their hands, though Humphries may now argue he needs more time having lost his California lawyer. Should the judge agree, it would be the fourth delay of the trial for a 72 day marriage that ended a year-and-a-half ago. Nobody wants that.
For all of you who has Kim Kardashian does not lead a stressful life you can eat your words now, as her doctors are allegedly worried that the 'celebrity' is putting her unborn baby at risk with the stress from her ongoing divorce from husband of 72-days Kris Humphries.
According to the Sun, sources close to Kim have said that she has been suffering severe pains at night and upon a check-up from doctors, they found that the pain is most likely to be linked to stress. Her doctors have since told her that she needs to cut down on the stressful activities, which are most likely linked to her ongoing legal disputes with her estranged husband considering that her symptoms are said to have returned whilst meeting with her divorce lawyers.
In other Kardashian/Humphries news, the NBA star's attorney filed new court documents on Tuesday (Feb. 5) that states that her apparent urgency for a divorce is only because of her 'unplanned' pregnancy with boyfriend Kanye West. Humphries has long argued against the divorce, asking for the two to settle on an annulment because he feels that Kim defrauded him and only married him for his money and for fame. We're not quite sure where he got that idea from...
After their shambolic 72 day marriage, Brooklyn Nets player Humphries has been dragging out his divorce from reality star Kardashian for more than a year, claiming that their marriage was a sham and seeking an annulment. Things got more complicated recently when Kim fell unexpectedly pregnant with her new boyfriend rapper Kanye West. According to Californian law, Kris is the 'presumed' father of her unborn child since he is still technically her husband and he has the ability to claim rights to the child if Kim cannot provide evidence of Kanye's paternity. There has been no evidence of Kris wishing to use this to his advantage as of yet (surprisingly) but he has made the pregnancy difficult for other reasons, most recently suggesting that the Kim is trying to use it to force court proceedings. And why shouldn't she? After all, all this stress can't be doing her any good or, more importantly, the baby.
Kris' attorney, Marshall Waller told E! News: 'What is really going on here is that an 'urgency' in the form of an apparently unplanned pregnancy, something the Respondent had nothing to do with, is perceived by Plaintiff as an opportunity to gain a litigation advantage by trying to force this court to prematurely set this matter for trial.' He went on to say that he thought Kim and her associated were 'hiding' something about the allegedly fraudulent relationship.
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' marriage famously lasted only 72 days. It ended way back in 2011 but they still aren't officially divorced as Humphries is making the whole ordeal more difficult than it needs to be. Being a tight-knit family most of the Kardashians have had a say on the matter and Khloe chipped in her two-pence when she went to speak to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.
"It just needs to get over already!" she stated. Kris is holding the whole thing up because he believes he was used in a sham marriage which was just meant for media attention, he wants an annulment rather a divorce. But according to Khloe, that doesn't make sense: "I don't know why [Kris is] asking for anything? He's fame-hungry, in my opinion. He wants money ... I just think everything he's doing is so ... it's just gross to me.'"
Khloe was already a little bias, because she didn't like him when she first met him, as she explain: "Kim was like, 'I want to introduce you to my friend [Kris]'... And one of the first things that came out of his mouth - like within the first five minutes - was, 'So, how much you getting paid to fake your marriage? Like how long are you gonna keep this up for?'... And I was like, 'Okay, dude, I don't know if you're trying to make me laugh' ... But he just rubbed me the wrong way."
