The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star and her boyfriend of six years, welcomed their second child, a girl, on July 8.
But apparently the couple made a last-minute decision on their daughter's name after she was born.
An insider told Us Weekly magazine that the pair had originally planned on naming their new addition to the family, Mila, but switched to Penelope Scotland Disick.
Despite the unexpected name swap, the birth was ''relaxed and easy'' according to a family source.
Kourtney and Scott welcomed daughter Penelope in front of her extended family and a Home Video camera, capturing the moment to air on a forthcoming episode of their E! reality show.
The 33-year-old , mother famously helped pull son Mason out during his 2009 delivery.
She said her 28-year-old partner was a great help in the delivery process.
She admitted: ''He was really supportive. He may be an ass at times, but he comes through for the big stuff.''
Her sister Kim Kardashian is discussing children of her own with rapper boyfriend Kanye West, according to reports.
