Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are a very ''normal'' couple.

The high profile duo, who welcomed their first child, North West, in June, are both very down-to-earth and have a lovely relationship, according their good pal Carine Roitfeld, the former editor of French Vogue.

The fashion icon told People.com at the New York premiere of her new documentary, 'Mademoiselle C', about her new magazine CR Fashion Book: ''They are so normal. They are lovely together.''

The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star, 32, appears on the latest issue of Carine's magazine and was very easy to work with.

She said: ''We decided we would do a story about her. Immediately she said, 'Yes.'

''She was one of the easiest models I have ever worked with. She's not a model, but she was pregnant, you know, and I love pregnant women. Honestly, she was very, very nice. She made no demands at all.''

Kim was expected to make her first post-pregnancy appearance on the red carpet at the film's screening but cancelled at the last minute.

'Black Skins' rapper Kanye, 36, who makes a brief cameo in the documentary, attended the afterparty at The Four Seasons Restaurant alone.

A source said: ''He came because Carine is a good friend of his.''

Kim and Kanye reportedly haven't seen each other since they released a picture of their daughter on her mother Kris Jenner's talk show finale on August 23 as he has been busy working.
