The American X-Factor producers have officially confirmed that Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez will be teaming up to host the show. Khloe is used to reality TV so working on the talent show will be a breeze. Mario found fame on '90s classic, Saved By the Bell but more recently has been the host on MTV's Best American Dance Crew for seven seasons. The duo will replace Welshman Steve Jones who has hosted the show alone since its original export to the US.

Simon Cowell commented that "The worst kept secret in Hollywood is out," he said, "Mario and Khloe are our hosts. They will debut on our first live show in November, and I couldn't be happier." The Voice's rival has experienced low ratings, but this season it's had a massive shake up with tons of new faces, including Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, in attempts to freshen it up and draw a stronger crowd.

The Guardian reports Lopez's reaction, he said: "I'm very excited to be joining The X Factor team, I love the show, and I've been a big fan of Simon Cowell and the judges for a long time. Khloe and I have been friends for years, and I know we'll be a great team and have a blast."

Although the X-Factor's ratings are up on the first season, they're still trailing behind The Voice by almost 3 million viewers.
