Kevin Hart has given four lucky students $50,000 college scholarships.

The 'Get Hard' star partnered up with the United Negro College Fund to give the scholarships to four high school seniors from his hometown of Philadelphia and he was delighted to be able to reward the teenagers for their ''dope'' academic efforts.

Kevin said: ''This is me stepping up to the plate and saying what you're doing is dope. You're dope. You've got the opportunity to be the dopest of all dopetivity.''

The four students were being rewarded for their high GPAs and also selected based on their need for financial help to get through higher education.

Speaking about his donation, Kevin joked the quartet would use the cash far more wisely than he would.

He quipped: ''My money went to a much, much more useful cause I guess you would say than what I would have been doing with it at a strip club!''

The four recipients will also get to attend the UNCF Evening of Stars event held in Atlanta and hosted by Anthony Anderson.

The UNCF Evening of Stars will air on April 26 on BET.
