Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline was recently hospitalised in Australia for "heat stress" while trying to lose weight for a new reality TV show.
The former dancer stunned fans in 2009 when he was photographed sporting a bulging belly, and the shot earned him the nickname 'K-Fat'.
He managed to slim down after adopting a strict diet and exercise regime during a stint on U.S. TV's Celebrity Fit Club last year (10), but he piled on the pounds again months later.
Federline is now getting serious about shaping up and headed Down Under in November (11) to take part in reality weightloss show Excess Baggage.
But his attempts to get fit hit a stumbling block when he found himself struggling to deal with the sweltering temperatures in the region of Kimberley, one of the "most remote and hostile" parts of the Australian outback.
A show representative tells Eonline.com, "(Federline) was taken to hospital as he was showing signs of heat stress."
He was discharged from the medical centre after a brief examination and returned to the outback to continue filming the show.
Excess Baggage is due to air on Australian TV next year (12).
