Kerry Katona has ended up with body image issues after years of being told she "wasn't good enough".
The 43-year-old star shot to fame as a member of Atomic Kitten in the late 1990s but reflected that it was such a "different time" in those days and after supermodel Kate Moss recently explained how she received backlash over her own natural figure, Kerry admitted that she felt as if she had to have cosmetic surgery because of how she was treated.
Writing in her OK! Magazine column, she said: "Model Kate Moss recently opened up about how she used to get verbal abuse for being so slim and how parents of anorexic children would blame her. I don’t think that’s right at all. Kate is naturally really slim and didn’t deserve that, but some people just need ways of dealing with things and to blame someone, unfortunately.
"It was such a different time back then. That’s why people like me have ended up so f***** up with surgery, because we were constantly told we weren’t good enough. People would point out any flaws and it makes you think you need to keep changing yourself."
The 'Whole Again' singer recently admitted that she had had some Botox on her forehead, fillers put into her cheeks and had her lips plumped to make them look thicker.
Kerry has also previously undergone operations including a facelift, eyelid surgery and a boob job.
In July, she revealed that she was planning to undergo a chin lift after feeling self-concsious about the lower part of her face.
She said: "I’ve been under the knife a few times myself for the odd nip and tuck, and I think the next thing on my list will be my chin.
"I’m at an age where the skin is beginning to sag and I’d like to get it done to make myself feel better – but not for anyone else. It doesn’t matter what other people think, as long as you’re happy, and being safe, that’s all that matters."
