There's nothing particularly original about this animated comedy adventure by Nicholas Stoller (Neighbors). It has the standard fast-paced snarky tone and too-frantic imagery, but the script is smarter than average, dropping deranged lines of hilarious dialogue into every scene. This gives the conversations an improvisational quality that keeps the audience laughing all the way through, unsure what might happen next.
It's set 20 years after the storks decided that there wasn't enough money in delivering babies, so they shifted to delivering parcels instead. The boss Hunter (voiced by Kelsey Grammer) is now planning to become board chairman, so he brings in his protege Junior (Andy Samberg) as the new boss. To prove himself, Junior needs to sack Tulip (Katie Crown), an annoying human who was left behind when the old business closed. Unable to do this, Junior transfers her to a back mailroom where no one will notice her, except that she inadvertently fires up the baby factory by answering a request from Nate (Anton Starkman) to bring a brother to his parents (Jennifer Aniston and Ty Burrell). So now Junior and Tulip need to deliver this infant before Hunter finds out.
While the plot is fairly predictable, the way it plays out is riotous. The film is a barrage of random asides, unexpected twists and loveably ridiculous characters. A smarmy corporate spy called Pigeon Toady (Stephen Kramer Glickman) is amusingly smarmy, while a pair of bickering arctic wolves (Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele) add some snarling suspense, even though they're too funny to be scary. Everything is so energetic and colourful that it's difficult to mind that the plot makes very little logical sense. And the loose style of vocal performance gives the whole film a zing of comical anarchy.

The fourth 'Transformers' movie may have taken over $1 billion at worldwide box offices, but it heads the Golden Raspberry Awards nominations list.
Amongst the praise and back-slapping of awards season, the film industry also shows its less serious side once a year. Just a day ahead of the big Oscars reveal, the Golden Raspberry Awards, a ceremony dedicated to showcasing the very worst of the world of the big screen, has announced its list of nominations, and to nobody’s surprise it’s Transformers: Age of Extinction that leads the field.
The fourth instalment of the hugely successful but critically panned Transformers saga, starring Mark Wahlberg and Megan Fox and directed by Michael Bay, has picked up seven nominations in total. They include worst picture, worst director, worst sequel, worst screenplay, worst screen combo (for any two of the fighting robots), worst supporting actress for Nicola Peltz and worst supporting actor for Kelsey Grammer. The former ‘Frasier’ star was also recognised for his roles in The Expendables 3, Think Like a Man Too and Legends of Oz.

Fans at the big game were treated to a 'Transformers' teaser.
Fans at Sunday's Super Bowl were given an exclusive sneak peek into the new Transformers movie, Age of Extinction, in what was the first public show of scenes from Michael Bay's ultra-cool new space robot action epic. As was previously rumoured, the title refers to the prehistoric creatures that will feature in the new film as opponents to Optimus Prime and Co.
Name-Based Jokes Aside, All Hopes Are On 'Age Of Extinction' To Revive The 'Transformers' Franchise.
As previous Transformers movies have successively bombed with critics, the name of the new movie alone will lend enough Bay-bashing ammo unless Age of Extinction is truly the turnaround that the director has promised.

What do you think of this move?
Eminently likable – if not a bit fussy – Kesley Grammer strayed far from his real life persona in Frasier, much like he did in Cheers. His latest role, the Grammy award winning turn of Major Tom Kane in Boss, has lead to a major Hollywood role for the outspoken, honey-throated actor.
“We’re going to start off smaller. There’s a brand new cast. To freshen the franchise we’ve redesigned everything from top to bottom,” explains director Michael Bay. “The history of the first three movies is still there, we start four years later and there’s a reason why we’re meeting a new cast.” Transformers 4 takes place four years after the events that shocked the world in Dark of the Moon, but it’s not a reboot as it continues from where the trilogy left off. With Casting for the fourth installment now underway, Grammer is the fifth actor cast in the last few months. The first official word on casting came when Bay revealed that he would be reuniting with star Mark Wahlberg.
The previous movie, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, made over $1 billion at the global box office in 2011, so Bay will have a lot to live up to. Some of the new film - opening in theaters on June 27, 2014 - will be shot using the new IMAX 3D cameras, and we can’t wait.

All Mike Wazowski dreams of is graduating from the prestigious Monsters University and becoming one of the world's best scarers. However, college doesn't go as swimmingly as he'd hoped, especially when he crosses paths with the large, hairy and extremely arrogant James P. 'Sulley' Sullivan who is also majoring in scaring and becomes his roommate. They are constantly attempting to get one up on each other and their competitiveness puts them seriously under threat of getting removed from the University's Scare Program. In order to stay on the course and graduate, they must work as a team in the dangerous Scare Games alongside their not so competent friends, the Oozma Kappa. With Mike and Sulley being total opposites of each other, they each possess what the other is missing which makes them, in theory, the perfect dream team.

Almost two and a half years in the making and finally the divorce between Kelsey Grammer and Camille Grammer has been settled, reports TMZ.
Camille filed for divorce back in 2010, and it was finalized early in 2011, however the custody rights and money splitting has taken almost two years to sort out. Apparently their fierce disputes have largely been over their enormous amount of assets- the value of which amounts to $60m. That includes the home they shared together which Kelsey insisted on taking back off the market so that he could live in it- despite the fact that it could have sold for a tidy $15m. They also had two other homes to split, as well as custody for their two children aged 8 and 11.
The split was due to Kelsey having an affair after thirteen years of marriage to Camille. He and Kayte Walsh - the flight attendant that he had the affair with - are now married with one child, with whom he was criticised for taking the new born baby to a Playboy party at Hugh Hefner's mansion; a truly bizarre choice. He and Kayte married the same month that the divorce was finalized.

The cancellation of Kelsey Grammer's Starz political drama Boss comes as no real surprise. Though the series showed huge promise early on and Grammer demonstrated his undeniable acting talent, it never had the numbers to support the critical praise. According to the Los Angeles Times, its premiere brought in 659,000, though the second season averaged under 580,000. The numbers were underwhelming and - unfortunately for Grammer - the powers that be in U.S. television do not like underwhelming.
Of course, Grammer knows everything there is to know about the cut-throat business. It makes the Hollywood movie industry look positively welcoming. If your show doesn't pull in the numbers, then its goodnight Vienna. There has been the odd exception, with television executives keeping faith with the likes of The Wire, HBO's drama that received poor Nielsen ratings though is now considered to be the greatest television show of all time. Grammer's Boss actually shared similarities with David Simon's series - corrupt politics and financial malpractice - though it wasn't The Wire, it definitely wasn't The Wire. The Starz network said in a statement, "After much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to not proceed with Boss.We remain proud of this award-winning show, its exceptional cast and writers, and are grateful to Kelsey Grammer, [creator] Farhad Safinia and our partners at Lionsgate TV."
As mentioned, Grammer knows the ways of American television all too well and the latest cancellation won't have surprised him. Since his multi-award winning magnum opus Frasier came to an end in 2004, the actor has worked hard to find his next major project, though he's still waiting. In 2007, he signed on to star opposite Patricia Heaton in Back To You, a sitcom based on the squabbling anchors of a news program. It was cancelled after one season.

Having won 37 Emmys in total, plus countless other awards, it really is difficult to top the success of Frasier, and star of the show Kelsey Grammer has found it very difficult to match (or even come close) to the success that Frasier gave him. His latest venture 'Boss', a drama on Starz has already been axed, after just two seasons, reports the Huffington Post.
This news rounds off a fairly bad week for the actor, having been criticised by a Playboy bunny, Kendra Wilkinson, for bringing his baby to a party at the Playboy mansion. Boss's premise actually seems fairly interesting, as a drama following the life of the Mayor of Chicago who's diagnosed with dementia and his attempts to hide it from his colleagues and family. In theory: good, in ratings: bad, which is why Starz chose to cut it from their scheduling.
In a statement the network said: "After much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to not proceed with [a third season of] 'Boss. We remain proud of this award-winning show, its exceptional cast and writers, and are grateful to Kelsey Grammer, [creator] Farhad Safinia and our partners at Lionsgate TV." Despite poor ratings it was critically acclaimed, Grammer even won a Grammy for his role as Tom Kane, plus it has something of a cult following. Sadly, cult followings and the odd award are not enough to keep a show from the grave. However, according to Deadline, the show may have one final reprise, a made for TV movie to make time for Kane's goodbyes and to wrap up his life.

Perhaps we should qualify that headline: 'Kesley Grammer tries to justify taking his baby daughter to the playboy mansion' sounds better. Yes, Kesley brought his young daughter to the infamous mansion to hang out with half naked ladies.
Kelsey has had to justify some pretty strange behaviour in his time; most of it from a script as he brilliantly brought the character of Frasier Crane to life, but his personal life is often just as ridiculous. He tried, though, to appease those who think his actions were ill-thought, by saying: "Kayte is breast-feeding and we do not have a nanny or a trusted babysitter at this time, so Faith goes everywhere with us. We enjoyed the party with a few of our friends, the baby slept as her ears were covered the entire time and we left shortly after midnight," in a statement to E! News Tuesday. "We enjoyed the evening. We love our child," Grammer concluded. "Kayte is my wife and lady love (who is 31 and goes by the name Kayte Grammer, by the way, not Walsh). The world is round. All our eyes are blue. Happy Halloween and Cock-a-doodle-doo!"
We don't have babies, but even so, we've come up with a way for Grammer and Kayte to deal with Playboy parties while also having a young child: don't go.

Kelsey Grammer decided, for whatever reason, that he didn’t want to be interviewed by Piers Morgan on his CNN show, and deserted the studio before any such thing could happen, reports The Telegraph.
“Kelsey Grammer was supposed to be on my show, but he ran out of the building. Strange,” tweeted the talk show host on Wednesday. The news seems to have offended Morgan, who himself cuts a ‘love or hate’ figure in the U.K. “So, Kelsey Grammer saw a photo of his ex-wife Camille in the open of our show and legged it. Extraordinary. Never had this happen before … I like Kelsey Grammer personally, but this was a shockingly unprofessional thing to do. I wasn’t even going to mention his ex-wife.” Grammer's publicist told The Hollywood Reporter: "Piers needs to take responsibility for what he did to Kelsey. It's called accountability." Seemingly embarrassed, and unable to let it go, Morgan continued to tweet about the Frasier star, saying "Relax Jimmy, unlike my guest Mr Grammer last night, I won't run away." He was referring to his upcoming appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
The ex-wife Morgan was joking about may have had something to do with Grammer’s untimely exit (or timely, depending on who you ally with) although nothing has been officially released regarding what was said backstage. Grammer, 57, and Camille divorced last year before he married British flight attendant Kayte Walsh, who is 25 years younger than him.
Kelsey Grammer stormed out of Piers Morgan’s chat show, recently, before their chat had even begun. According to E! Online, Piers is claiming that Kelsey caught wind of the fact that they had shown a clip of Kelsey’s ex wife, Camille Grammer, as the show started, so he simply got up and walked out. Piers first made the problem known when he tweeted a message to say “Kelsey Grammer was supposed to be on my show now but ran out of the building. Strange.” At this point, he appears not to understand Grammer’s motives for leaving.
A later tweet clears the situation up a little saying “So, Kelsey Grammer saw a photo of his ex wife Camille in the open to our show and legged it. Extraordinary. Never had this happen before.” Later on, Piers said that he’d had a chat with Kelsey in the green room and Kelsey had been looking forward to the interview. Later, Piers then accused Kelsey of having acted unprofessionally, saying “I like Kelsey Grammer personally, but this was a shockingly unprofessional thing to do. I wasn't even going to mention his ex-wife!” Which begs the question, of course… why show a picture of her before the interview, then, Piers?
Recently, pictures of Camille were published in the media, with the 44 year old looking stunning in a bikini, with the kind of beach body that you’d expect from someone half her age. Perhaps the renewed attention on their former relationship and publicly tricky divorce has left Kelsey feeling a bit more sensitive about the subject than normal?
Get your eyes round this Kelsey Grammer! The former Cheers and Frasier star has been left in no doubt as to what he's been missing out on after his ex-wife Camilla Grammer took a trip out to the beach and stunned photographers by fitting her amazing looking body into a skimpy grey bikini.
Celebuzz reports that the 44 year-old displayed the curves of someone half her age, as she looked tanned and relaxed whilst out on a surfing day on the beaches of Los Angeles. Grammer has credited her physique in the past to a mixture of hiking, weight training, keeping to a low-carb diet and having good genes. There's perhaps no wonder she's looking so happy either, with TMZ recently reporting that the star took a whopping $30 million from her divorce settlement from the actor when they split in July 2010.
It's not all bad news for Kelsey though; he has of course re-married since splitting with Camille and even had a child with Kayte Walsh, and it seems as though he's perfectly happy with his life new set-up. However, anyone would struggle not to have their head turned by these shots, and the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star certainly looks like her best days remain well ahead of her.
Professional 'scarers' at Monsters Inc., Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan (nicknamed Mike and Sulley) haven't always been so scary. 'Monsters University' tells the story of the duo's time at the University of Fear, about ten years previous, where they took their education in scaring children and often practised on each other with various college pranks that obviously united them in the end.

There's an odd sense of dragging in the middle, and some of the action sequences feel like they never quite crank up to high gear.
On the other hand, the film is a series of gorgeously conceived set pieces and terrific character interaction and, unlike newer films, it's not afraid to get a bit grim. Stinky Pete's character is especially well-realised, right through to the anarchic closing-credit outtakes. As with most good sequels, the secret is to create strong new characters, and Stinky Pete certainly does that. It's also great to have Barbie in this world.
