Kelly Rowland served as one of the judges on the US version of the singing talent show 'The X-Factor' for its third and ultimately final season.

Fox announced last Friday (Feb 7th) that they have pulled the plug on the reality singing competition.

On the same day, Simon Cowell confirmed that he would be returning to be a judge on the UK version of the show, speculating that the two announcements are related.

But Rowland doesn't hold any grudges against the 54 year-old music mogul returning to his native England, and realizes the show, which suffered from poor ratings, had tough competition.

"You gotta think about the fact that there's American Idol, The Voice, like all these new shows that are coming up," she told BBC News.

But the former Destiny's Child member only had positive things to say about her time as a panellist, "You know what, it was an incredible experience and I made new friends," she gushed.

Kelly also expressed admiration for Cowell and admitted that his return to the UK version will strengthen the program.

"I have to compliment Simon because he started it all with American Idol," she said.

The cancelation of the US show isn't a huge blow for Rowland as she is already a busy lady with several other work related projects.

"I actually have [New York] Fashion Week, then I'm doing a show in Nigeria, then I actually get back into the [music] studio.I'm so excited," she revealed.

Could Kelly return as a judge on X-Factor UK? She was featured on the panel for the show's eighth season.
