Kelly Ripa's Botox Admission: "It Makes My Makeup Artist's Life Easier"

Kelly Ripa has admitted to getting Botox in her face and armpits, claiming it makes her makeup artist's life easier. The American talk show host - named by the Hollywood Reporter as one of the most powerful people in the media for 2012 - revealed to Elle magazine that she gets Botox every seven months or so.

In her feature on the TV star, the magazine's Irina Aleksander wrote, "The spin class is punishing, but Ripa seems to outperform the twenty-somethings manically pedaling around her and emerges looking almost like she did when she arrived." Later, in the interview with Ripa, the TV star revealed, "It's the Botox. Every seven months or so my eyelid skin rests on my eyelashes. So I feel like it makes my makeup artist's life easier, and it makes my eyes look a little more open on TV, which is where I happen to work right now." The miniscule TV host even opened up about her impressive 16-year marriage to Latin heartthrob Mark Consuelos, saying, "I actually call [Mark] Desi, because the thing about Desi was that as much attention as Lucy got, Desi was always in charge."

The couple live in New York's Soho neighbourhood with their three children, Michael, 15, Lola, 11, and Joaquin, 9.
