Kelly RipaKelly Ripa has hosted her first ‘Live!’ since Michael Strahan’s exit.

On the morning show, Kimmel, who is more used to hosting late at night, asked Ripa "Where's Michael?" before probing her further and adding: "Let's start from the beginning, what happened?" But Ripa wasn't giving anything away and Kimmel joked: "I'm like an ex-boyfriend you go back to for sex.”

KImmel also quizzed executive producer Michael Gelman, awkwardly asking him: "Will you ever talk to Michael Strahan again? Will he be back on the show as a guest?” To which Gelman replied ‘yes’ and ‘maybe’.

In preparation for Monday’s episode the show debuted its new logo and name on Facebook and Twitter on Sunday. It will now be know simply as ‘LIVE with Kelly’, the same name the show used after Regis Philbin's 2012 departure. It’s logo has also been replaced with simple yellow and blue lettering.

Speaking to People after Strahan’s exit, Ripa said: "We have to now find another great person, which is fun but challenging. Our show is one based on chemistry and camaraderie and trust. All those things don't just happen; it doesn't fall out of the sky. It takes a lot of work, and it takes a group discussion.”

While there had been tensions reported between Ripa and Strahan over his exit, during Friday’s farewell episode Ripa paid tribute to her departing co-host.  "I just want to say, on behalf of myself and all of us, we couldn't be prouder of you,” she told him.
