'Fashion Police' has been put on hiatus by E! until September in a bid by the channel to ''refresh'' the show following the departures of hosts Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin.
'Fashion Police' has been put on hiatus.
E! has made the decision to take the TV show off air to ''refresh'' it following the departures of Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin and in the wake of the controversy surrounding fellow host Giuliana Rancic's comments about Zendaya Coleman's dreadlocks smelling like ''weed''.
A statement released by E! said: ''We look forward to taking this opportunity to refresh the show before the next awards season. Our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, along with Executive Producer Melissa Rivers, will continue their roles as we evolve the show into its next chapter for the legions of 'Fashion Police' fans around the world.''
Kelly made the decision to quit after five years on the programme after being upset with the Zendaya quip, for which Giuliana apologised, while Kathy - who took over from the late Joan Rivers following her death last September - decided to walk away from the show after just seven episodes because she didn't think she was the right fit for the format.
Explaining her decision, Kathy said: ''I was being forced to comment about pictures of beautiful women in perfect dresses and say kind of bad things. As a feminist and a comic, it just didn't feel like the right fit for me.''
The next episode of 'Fashion Police' was due to air on March 30th but it will now not return to TV screens until September.
Khloe Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen, Amber Rose and Naya Rivera are among the favourites to take over from Kelly and Kathy on the panel.
